Life Forecast is a calendar app built to show you where your day or week has room — not to harvest your data. This page explains, plainly, what we collect, why, and what we deliberately don't collect.
The short version: we collect what's needed to run your account, sync your entries across devices if you choose to sign in, and process payment. We don't sell data, we don't run advertising trackers, and anything you write in The Clearing is never saved anywhere, by anyone — not even us.

What we hold about you depends on how you use the app.
The Clearing is the one exception to everything above. The Clearing is a private space in the app with no save button on purpose. Nothing you type there is stored, synced, backed up, or transmitted anywhere — not to our servers, not to Supabase, not to us. It exists only on your screen, in the moment, and disappears when you leave it. We've built an automated safeguard into the app itself that blocks any change from ever connecting Clearing content to our backend.
If something you type suggests you may be in distress, the app can show you a support card with real regional helplines. This detection happens entirely on your own device, in memory, in real time — it is never stored, logged, or sent to us or anyone else. We don't know if this feature has ever been shown to you, and we have no way of finding out. It exists solely to put help in front of you in the moment, nothing more.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Life Forecast. Each only receives what it needs to do its job:
We don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on the app or website. Any cookies present are limited to what's essential for sign-in and checkout to function.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your account and data deleted, email us at hello.lifeforecast@gmail.com and we'll remove it. Because Life Forecast is currently a small, independently-run app, deletion is handled manually by us rather than through an automated self-service tool — we aim to action requests promptly.
Every purchase is preceded by a full 7-day free trial, so you can try the app before paying. Because of that, refunds are offered for genuine technical problems within 14 days of purchase, rather than a simple change of mind. If you purchase through an app store in future, refunds for that purchase are handled by Apple or Google directly, under their own policies.
Life Forecast isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
Life Forecast is built and operated in Australia, and our service providers (including Supabase, Stripe, and Vercel) may process and store data on servers located outside Australia. Each of these providers maintains its own security and privacy safeguards.
Wherever you're located, you can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to export a copy of your synced entries. Australian users have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); users elsewhere may have additional rights under their local law (such as the GDPR in the UK/EU). To exercise any of these, just email us — hello.lifeforecast@gmail.com.
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including database-level access rules that keep each user's data separate from every other user's, and secure, industry-standard payment processing through Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat this carefully because it's your data, not ours.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We'll always aim to make Life Forecast's approach to your data easy to understand, not just easy to defend.
